Girl Effect’s pioneering digital platform in Nigeria has been profiled in TIME magazine.

Girls Connect is the result of an innovative partnership between Girl Effect and the iSON Group – one of Africa’s largest IT services and BPO companies.

The platform delivers a personalised experience for girls where they can access on-demand content and conversations via a mobile phone line – the first of its kind.

Girls and young women simply dial a free number from a mobile phone to hear stories about young women facing widespread pressures, such as early marriage and the struggle to get an education. They follow up the story by speaking to a role model to receive tailored one-to-one support.
