Girl Effect’s mobile-first platform Springster is profiled as example of best practice by the Digital Impact Alliance.

DIAL, the Digital Impact Alliance at the United Nations Foundation has featured global mobile-first platform, Springster as a best practice case study; forming part of their series on the ‘Principles for Digital Development’.

With the advent of accessible digital technology more than a decade ago, international development organisations began seeking new ways of including digital tools in their programming for improved outcomes.

The Digital Principles were created in an international development community-driven effort – the result of many lessons learned through the use of technology in development projects. They are part of an ongoing effort among development practitioners to share knowledge and support continuous learning.

Springster helps to build vulnerable girls’ confidence and skills online to help them fulfil their potential offline.  One of Facebook Free Basics’ top five most visited sites, Springster celebrates the diverse, inspirational and convention defying experiences of girls through entertaining and educational content and stories written for and by girls.
