This month, Girl Effect was invited to showcase TEGA (Technology Enabled Girl Ambassadors) at two global conferences.
Laura Scanlon, Director of TEGA, spoke at the Global Adolescent Heath conference in Canada, as part of a panel that discussed the transformative power of young people as they grow up in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) era. Laura talked about the contribution TEGA can make to ensure young people’s voices count, and are heard by global experts.
Meanwhile, Zoe Dibb, Senior Manager of Evidence at Girl Effect, was asked to speak at the ninth annual ICT4D Conference: ‘From Innovation to Impact’. She hosted a session for delegates about TEGA, providing a hands-on demonstration, answering questions about the realities of working with young female researchers in hard to reach communities.
