“As a mother, it’s been a weight off my shoulders knowing that I can take this crucial step in protecting my daughter’s health and future. Hearing about the HPV vaccination on the radio propelled me to take action and has given me peace of mind, knowing that she is shielded from cervical cancer. I urge all parents to prioritize this lifesaving vaccine for their children, especially between 9 - 14 years old. Let’s empower our girls with protection and give them the chance to grow into healthy, thriving women.”

A SNAPSHOT OF OUR WORK

Oya: Building a Movement for Girls’ Health Across Nigeria

Oya—a widely recognized expression that conveys “let's go” or “take action now”—transforms health outcomes across Nigeria through the power of community mobilization. This HPV vaccine awareness campaign spans five states, reaching thousands of girls through schools, communities, and grassroots networks. By partnering with state health agencies, local champions, and young advocates, Oya tackles real barriers to vaccination that Nigerian families face daily and inspires
lasting change.

“I am honoured to lead our transformative efforts in Nigeria, where we harness innovation, deep community roots, and bold partnerships to drive lasting change. At the heart of this mission is the girl child, full of potential, too often overlooked. Together, we are working toward a future where every girl, regardless of where she is born, has the power, the voice, and the opportunity to thrive in a safe, healthy, resilient, and equitable society.”

YOUNG PEOPLE ARE AT THE HEART OF ALL WE DO

Together, we design, create, and evaluate initiatives that amplify youth voices, challenge gender norms, and create impact across health, education, and economic livelihoods. Our meaningful youth engagement
happens through three key approaches: Youth Advisory Panels, Youth Creator Networks, and Young Professionals.
