“Before the project, I used to disregard the issue of vaccination.
I didn’t know it was important and
I used to think a child could just grow without it, but now I understand the importance of vaccination.”

TUJIBEBE:
Rising Together to Empower Tanzania's Youth

Tujibebe—Swahili for “let's lift ourselves up, together"—inspires young Tanzanians to build brighter futures. Through interactive audio stories and radio dramas to community events and digital clubs, this movement meets young people online and on the ground. Tujibebe addresses real challenges young people face daily and inspires, entertains, and equips them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to navigate adolescence – from finishing their education or setting up a small business, to accessing a health service.

“From digital platforms to on-the-ground programming, we connect young Tanzanians with the resources they need to overcome barriers, see themselves differently, and unleash their full potential. We're empowering them to shape their own futures.”

— DR. RITA MBEBA

COUNTRY DIRECTOR, TANZANIA
